A £1m National Lottery winner has finally come forward after buying the winning ticket in Ceredigion in February

THE owner of a £1m National Lottery winning ticket bought in Ceredigion back in February has finally come forward to claim their prize.

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, said that the £1,000,000 UK Millionaire Maker prize from the EuroMillions draw on February 7 – which had previously remained outstanding – has now been claimed.

Unless the winner of a major National Lottery prize opts to take full publicity and signs an agreement to that effect, no further information can be released about their win.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said, “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this life-changing amount of money.

“During the current crisis, we’d like to encourage as many players as possible to check their tickets and play online or on the National Lottery app, and to only buy their tickets in retail or claim a retail prize if they are already in-store to do an essential shop.”

Thanks to National Lottery players, up to £600m will be used by charities and organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus outbreak across the arts, community and charity, heritage, education, environment and sport sectors.

This includes up to £300m in funding support from the National Lottery Community Fund which will be used over the next six months to help groups best placed to support people and communities through the crisis – from helping support food banks to causes that combat loneliness and isolation, support for the elderly and projects that aid health in the community.
