Walmart will give everyone their first taste of what to expect this holiday shopping season with its Big Save Event on Oct. 11, just two days before Amazon Prime Day.
In a bid to undercut Amazon’s Prime Day and Best Buy’s “Black Friday” sales on Oct. 13-14, Walmart has scheduled a Big Save Event for Oct. 11.
Though all three companies have released early deals, Walmart will give everyone their first taste of what to expect this holiday shopping season this weekend, with deals on thousands of items.
Already, we know that Walmart will offer a 55-inch JVC 4K TV for $248 on Sunday. There will also be a hefty discount on an IonVac Wi-Fi robot vacuum cleaner, which will be marked down from $179.88 to $99. Alongside these two big-ticket items will be smaller discounts on Roku’s Ultra LT streaming media player, which will drop to $69, and on Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch, which will cost just $39.99.
Based on the deals we’re seeing now and that were available last year, the best Walmart deals will be on TVs, games, and smart home devices such as robot vacuums. Walmart already has a sizable discount on Google’s Nest Hub as well, which is something Amazon won’t have.
Walmart’s sale begins on Oct. 11 and runs through Oct. 15, though it’s likely that some deals will continue for some time after that. Nonetheless, popular deals will sell out quickly, so don’t hesitate to take advantage of any intriguing offers.
