This Morning’s fashion producer has revealed the secrets to dressing the stars of the hit breakfast TV programme.
Amber Jackson, who has worked up the ranks for over 11 years on the show, is responsible for the weekly 10 minute style slots.
Speaking to The Telegraph, she said she also works with each presenter on their individual style, explaining: ‘We have this cupboard full of clothes, so it was really a natural collaboration to start dressing [the presenters] too.’
Amber explained she often looks to ‘retro vibes’ when dressing Lisa, calling her ‘my 1970s Queen’ while Rochelle favours items with a ‘minimal aesethetic’ in ‘clean cut tones’.
The stylist, who also works with presenter Bryony Blake, said she tries not to adopt a ‘one style fits all approach’ and instead sees the women as individuals with their own sense of what they like.
She visits high-street stores, including Topshop and Zara, in order to find the perfect items which will also be affordable to inquisitive viewers.
Meanwhile she mixes the pieces with more high end high street retailers, like Donna Ida or Boden.
The stylist added that garments often sell out after being seen on the presenters by This Morning viewers.
She revealed her ‘go-to’ look for Lisa is a pair of denim flares with a floral print top, adding: ‘As long as it fits her style, she’s not fussed by the brand. We put her in a Wallis dress once, and it sold out within an hour.’
Amber goes for a more minimal look for Rochelle, selecting clean cut garments from white and khaki colour palettes.
She said the presenter, who gave birth to her son last week, was keen to avoid maternity pieces during her pregnancy and instead opted to ‘size up’ her usual styled garments.
Meanwhile Bryony ‘loves bright colours’ and ‘bold prints’ in her wardrobe, with the stylist saying the presenter’s style is seen as particularly accessible by viewers.
But dressing the presenters is just half the battle, with the fashion producer also leading on ITV’s popular fashion segment.
The weekly 10 minute slot shows viewers various trends of the moment and different ways they can be styled for women of all ages.
Amber revealed her team decided on a theme for each segment before searching through London’s largest retail stores in order to find the best garments.
The team never spend over £150 on a piece chosen, and avoid pieces which won’t translate on camera, including checks, stripes and black.
