The next update coming to Stardew Valley will bump the game up to version 1.5. The creator, ConcernedApe, has been teasing it for months on end and has now shared another glimpse of what it will look like when it does arrive.

It shows two individuals near water. One is fishing and the other is sitting down on a chair. There are also some ducks and trees submerged under the water. Here’s a look:

Some fans suspect this might be a new area or zone in the game. In his previous Twitter update, ConcernedApe revealed how players would be able to move their beds, and before this, he teased new end-game content and shared an image of a new door behind Willy’s counter.

When he’s not paying off a loan to Tom Nook, Liam likes to report on the latest Nintendo news and admire his library of video games. His favourite Nintendo character used to be a guitar-playing dog, but nowadays he prefers to hang out with Judd the cat.

I’ve been putting this game off for whatever reason. I guess I don’t want to start something too big, and never want to stop. But, this game looks too fun to turn down. hmm. Can anyone help me out? IS it worth it?

@Apportal definitely worth it! I don’t think you need to be overwhelmed by it’s size, there’s lots to it but you only have to go as deep as you want. Stardew is a very relaxing game. You can take it at your own pace.

I’ve been playing it since it got released on Switch.
As @PrincessKitchen says, it’s a very relaxing game, and you have a lot to do. And the characters are really charming…
Again, if you like this kind of games, you’ll have a blast with this one

Oh, something really interesting…. In the Argentina eShop there are a few Indies, like Stardew Valley, Dandara, Cuphead, Celeste, Hotline Miami and Hollow Knight that have ridiculous prices (I think because of the inflation of the Argentina’s coin). For example, Celeste is like 4 dollars, and Stardew Valley 3 dollars. I already bought a few of them in there, and they’re redeemable in all eShops from America (haven’t tried on other continents though)
That’s the link to the web. The only thing you have to do is create a Argentina account. And, when you buy it you’ll get the code in your email. Also, I think you can pay with PayPal

So maybe a nice park to go to to feed the ducks and do a spot of fishing. Perhaps invite a yowns person for a picnic?

I’ve always wanted my ducks to be able to swim in my watery areas on my farms.

I am so ready to dump another 50-75 hours into this game. I’ve been holding off because I know this update is coming. But I really want it! I tried to get into Friends of Mineral Town to hold me over, but I just couldn’t stick with it. I don’t have the nostalgia for it and it just feels so much less polished than Stardew. Not to mention I prefer the art style of Stardew too.

maybe i will give this game another try when this update got released ….. played that game for hours in 2017! then my switch died after a firmware update …. no nintendo online service were launched – so no ways to backup your savegames.

well, nintendo replaced the motherboard, could not save my savegames, lost 100hours in stardew and 250 hours in zelda + 80hours with mario kart …. so i never started that game again … did not want to start all over :/ but since 3 years have passed, maybe i start again … now with nintendo online, at least my savegames are “safe” haha

I haven’t picked this up for a year or two :/Start again or try to continue?!

This guy could easily charge like 5 bucks for each update. The people would pay and no one would complain. But it’s awesome what he doing with this game. Making it bigger and better. For free! @Apportal: my personal opinion is, it’s worth it! If you are too overwhelmed, use the wiki. I for example did not spend hundreds of hours to find out what fish can be catched at what condition or time year. If you want to do this by yourself, you need to take notes. So I used the wiki. This will not spoil the fun but prevents frustration

@eRaz0r Man that sucks losing saves like that. Hope it doesn’t happen to people so much now

@Pikman I haven’t touched this game since 1.2, tried to continue my game at 1.4 and couldn’t remember a single thing. I might give it another try or start again if I ever have the courage

@Apportal I’ve unknowingly put 100+ hours into the game in bits and bat’s, I would say we’ll worth it, it’s just something I keep coming back to over and over again because it’s so relaxing and you can take your time and do what you want.

Looks like a new player map (hay/grass and ducks only appear in farmland). Obviously multiplayer. The tree’s in the water could indicate a swampland?Stardew is so far my most played game 400+ hrs across maybe 3 farms.

That’s a pretty funny mix-up because it sounds like “almost everyone’s got it”, whereas the normal phrase “must have” means “everyone should absolutely get it.”

@TDCinFL Sorry. My English its pretty bad 😅I’m originally from Latin America, so I’m still learning how to speak/write englishI’m very sorry

I desperately wanted to get into this game but it just never clicked. There’s no sense of direction and I got so bored so quickly. Maybe I should try it again.

This is just the game that keeps giving. Incredible value, I’ve bought it on 3 different platforms (Switch, XOne, and PC) just to try to keep supporting the dev, even though I only play on Switch since thats where I originally bought it and where my main game save is.

@Benjinat @mazzel @Sladey69 @PrincessKitchen Thanks for all your help guys. Welp, I decided to get it. Thanks all!
