With a bang, Native Instruments has annoucnced their new Maschine+ system – a standalone unit that offers production and performance capabilities without the need for computer reliability.
The Maschine+ takes Native Instrument’s Maschine workflow and integrates it into one sole unit. It comes with a number of software features including Maschine+ Selection, 8 gigabytes of instrument packs (including drum kits, instruments, synths, loops and more), effects, and expansions. It’s also worth noting that this library includes many of NI’s well-known instruments like MASSIVE, MONARK, PRISM, KONTAKT, and more.
And if you’re still interested in using it via computer with your DAW of choice, that’s doable too – there’s a controller mode as well.
It’s “a sampler, a drum machine, a synth, and an on-stage superpower. In short, it’s whatever you make it.”
The Maschine+ will cost $1,399 and weighs just over 5-and-a-half pounds – a portable-sized piece of gear for touring artists (that is, once artists can tour again) to take on the road. And it’s easy to kick off – once the product is in-hand, all you’ll need to get started is a WiFi connection and a Native ID.
The Maschine+ will be available both online and in-store on October 1, 2020. You can grab more details and pre-order yours here in the DJ Techtools store.
