Ned (Ben Hall) might be a killer, but he’s still got his conscience – and he’s about to come clean in Neighbours.

Although it’s not like he has much choice as even more evidence stacks up against him.

A fresh batch of incriminating evidence helps prove he travelled the route back to Erinsborough that would have taken him right past the exact spot Scarlett’s clothes wash up on the beach. There’s little arguing against that – his own phone gives him away. The future is looking bleak and Ned starts to pull away from those closest to him as everything mounts up on top of him.

But this makes him look even more guilty, and Levi (Richie Morris) starts to think he’s hiding something else. Bea (Bonnie Anderson) is the only one fighting Ned’s corner and she begs Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) to see the truth in her boyfriend’s eyes. Ned is not a killer.

Or is he? While Bea is determined to help Ned, he realises he’s beyond help and he turns to Paul Robinson, ready to confess to his crime.

It’s a bit late then that at this point Yashvi realises Bea is right about Ned and is ready to fight for him, highlighting the inconsistencies in the evidence. Detective Graves is impressed with her work, but when he realises her emotional connection he whips her off the case quicker than she can say Scarlett is a psycho.

Ned confesses to Paul (Stefan Dennis) that the vivid daydreams he’s been having are more like memories. His mind is pulling together the details of his horrific killing. He’s convinced he really did hurt Scarlett and needs some help, so Paul discreetly arranges for him to have a memory recall session with Beverley. And it confirms to Ned he really is guilty of murder.

But cunningly, he keeps this evil fact from Paul and Beverley, knowing she’d have to report him if he confesses to anything during their session. He buys himself some time, but ultimately realises he needs to turn himself. He tells Terese and Paul what he’s ready to do – he’s ready to confess to killing Scarlett.
