“Pokemon Go” players who were used to moving around and head toward the nearest Gym to do battle against a Legendary Boss can now do so without much movement. Niantic is bringing back the Raid Hour this month with trainers needing a Remote Raid Pass to get the chance to join this month’s Raiding events.
For those who may not be aware, Raid Hour gives augmented reality players the chance to do battle for one full hour. “Pokemon Go” players get the chance to test their skill against Legendary Bosses in the tier 5 Battle Raids which will be done on a new rotation, Game Rant reported.
The first Pokemon most will deal with is the Alte Forme Giratina for this week per the PokemonGoApp Twitter account. The event kicks off on May 6 starting at 6:00 p.m. local time and will last for a full hour. With time to spare, it would be best for players to plan and collaborate with other players before entering the Gym and starting the battle.
But the most important thing of all is to have that Remote Raid Pass ready. For “Pokemon Go” players who are clueless on how to get one, simply open the “Pokemon Go” app and tap the Poke Ball icon. Head to the shop and scroll down the items section. A Remote Raid Pass costs 100 PokeCoins. Trainers are reminded that they can only carry up to three Remote Raid Passes in their Item Bag. Adding more than that will prove futile.
With time to spare, “Pokemon Go” players may want to continue pinning down the Unova Pokemon for the time being. This will help trainers in improving their Battle Raid rosters.
The Raid Hours should align with Niantic’s intent to keep “Pokemon Go” trainers busy even while lockdowns are in force. In a previous post, it was mentioned that there will be “Pokemon Go” Spotlight Hours scheduled every Tuesdays starting at 6:00 p.m. The first one already lapsed the one where trainers could get Shelder and the chance to earn twice the amount of Stardust. The next one is set on May 12 with Sunkern and players getting the chance to earn double XP for their efforts.
