Incense Day is an event in Pokémon Go themed around the use of, unsurprisingly, Incense, which is used to attract Pokémon to you.
Alongside increasing the duration of Incense to an hour, Incense Day supplies you with a variety of bonuses that will help you catch a variety of Pokémon.
Below you’ll be able to find the time and date for the next Incense Day, as well as the bonuses that apply to that event.
The next Incense Day will occur on Saturday, May 9th from 8am to 10pm local time.
Each hour of this event causes any Incense you use to attract a particular type of Pokémon, with that Pokémon type changing every hour.
During Incense Day in Pokémon Go you’ll be able to take advantage of a variety of bonuses.
The first one is an obvious one – any Incense used during the event period will last for an hour. This will allow you to catch far more Pokémon whether you are.
Secondly, throughout the upcoming Incense Day, Carvanha will be attracted to any Incense that you use. You might even get lucky and find a shiny Carvanha.
Finally, during this event the specific type of Pokémon that are attracted to the Incense that you use will change when the hour does.
This Incense Day is focused on two different specific types – dark and water-type Pokémon. Here are the following hours during the Incense Day when these types are active:
Throughout these hours you might also encounter a rare Pokémon – Scraggy for dark-type and Alomomola for water-type.
If you’re planning on taking part in Incense Day in Pokémon Go, then you should make sure you’re prepared for it.
First things first, you need to ensure that you actually have Incense. If you don’t then you can easily purchase some from the in-game store or earn it by completing Special Research tasks, such as Let’s Go Meltan.
Currently, there is a special bundle for sell in the in-game store, which costs 1 PokéCoin and contains:
Having a Lucky Egg or two for doubling your XP is also a good idea, especially if you’re planning on catching a lot of Pokémon.
Finally, you should also ensure that you’ve stocked up on Poké Balls and berries of all varieties. The worst thing that could happen to you on Incense Day is that, when that rare Pokémon you’ve been hunting appears only to discover that you’re all out of Poké Balls.
You can purchase Incense in Pokémon Go from the in-game store, which is accessible via the main menu.
During the event, you’ll be able to purchase an exclusive bundle of three Incense in exchange for 1 PokéCoin. This means that you can easily take part in three hours of the event.
If you wish to partake in more than three hours of the event, then you can purchase additional Incense at these PokéCoin prices:
