Pokemon Crown Tundra leaks have been revealed, showing off some Legendary pokemon with a new look. It looks like Pokemon Sword and Shield’s next expansion pass is going to have a lot of surprises!
Pokemon Sword and Shield has had a pretty good year thus far, especially with the reveal of the Expansion Pass earlier this year. This Expansion Pass was split into two parts; the Isle of Armor has already launched and it ended up being one of the nicest areas in the game.
The Crown Tundra will serve as the second part of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass and it’s launching soon. There’s still a lot we didn’t know, but now the Spanish-language Pokemon site Centro Pokemon has shared some leaks in a special Twitter account named Centro Leaks, many of which are collected in a thread on ResetEra.
The first and most substantial of the Pokemon Crown Tundra leaks is the look of the various Legendary Pokemon in the game which you can see in the above image. One of the most astonishing leaks centers on Calyrex, the newest Legendary to join the roster.
Calyrex is a Psychic/Grass type and can be found in the upcoming Crown Tundra zone. Surprisingly, Calyrex has two alternate forms; Trainers can choose between one of two horses for this kingly new Pokemon to mount.
The Crown Tundra DLC may also feature the return of several Pokemon according to a separate leak; according to this comment on ResetEra, the Gen 3 starters were among 119 Pokemon that are thought to be making an appearance in Pokemon Sword and Shield with the Crown Tundra DLC. If this separate leak proves true, it would go a long way towards remedying the Dexit controversy that saw dozens of original Pokemon missing from Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Players should expect the Main Story to last around 4 hours. Legendaries can be unlocked as soon as players can access Dynamax Adventures. Once you’ve completed the story, you’ll be able to hunt for Ultra Beasts in the post-game.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra release date is October 22, 2020 — that’s just two days away! Of course, one should keep in mind that these leaks haven’t been confirmed — as always, take them with a grain of salt.
The Crown Tundra is shaping up to be a really cool region (in more way than one). If you haven’t yet hopped into the newest Pokemon game, you can buy Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield for just $39.99 or your regional equivalent. You’ll need the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass to enjoy this new content, though, so make sure that you pick that up, too.
