EA made some worthy improvements to Franchise mode in NHL 20 last year, having revamped scouting, added coaching as well as line chemistry. For NHL 21, even more community requests have been addressed with the addition of various new features.
A new trade deadline experience has been added in an attempt to replicate the chaotic frenzy that happens in real life. Ahead of the trade deadline, you’ll choose how you want to approach the big day by selecting one of four options that will influence the kind of trade offers you receive: Seller, Conservative Seller, Conservative Buyer and Buyer.
The trade deadline runs from 6AM(PST) to 12PM PST. Top players on the block will be presented along with their contract statues, trade value and what the team is looking for in return. In an interesting twist, the market value of these players will fluctuate as the day goes on so it’s.a tricky balance between waiting for a good deal and potentially having another team snag the player you want or reaching and giving up a little more to ensure you get him.
Another oft-requested feature coming with NHL 21 is the Record Book, where you can look through numerous stat categories including career, season and rookie records in league history. You’ll be able to view all-time NHL career stats across the following categories:
On the same subject, you’ll be able to view each team’s current and all-time leaders in Career, Season, Rookie and Game statistics.
