A power cut at the National Lottery headquarters has interrupted most National Lottery online services this morning.

Camelot, which has its head office based in Tolpits Lane, Watford, suffered from a power cut this morning (May 6), leaving eager betters unable to visit the National Lottery website or access the smartphone app.

Many users have pointed out the service issue on Twitter, as plenty of people have tried to access their winning prize.

The National Lottery have said: “Due to a power failure in the Watford area this morning, some of our services have been affected – including our website and contact centre.

“We’re working to get services back up and running as quickly as possible and are really sorry for any inconvenience.”

The power cut was first reported to UK Power Networks at 6.57am today (May 6), and the power was later restored by 8.39am.

After more than an hour since the power was restored, the website remains down.

@TNLUK how long will your online services be down? I’m too excited to see that life changing £2.70 in my messages 😂😂 Thank you xxx pic.twitter.com/T6SOyujbwv

When you get an email from @TNLUK saying you have won but the app and website is down! Probably only £3 winning but keep thinking what if it’s £millions!!

According to the National Lottery, the team are working to get services back up as soon as possible.
