NetherRealm Studios has revealed a story DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, called Aftermath, coming out on May 26. Just when you think we got a nice wholesome ending to MK 11, and Liu Kang got his due, NetherRealm decided to throw a wrench in time.
The story DLC kicks off when Shang Tsung interrupts Liu Kang as he attempts to restart time. Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop have been added as playable characters. Another notable point is that RoboCop will be played by Peter Weller, who played Alex Murphy in RoboCop and RoboCop 2.
Additionally, the Aftermath DLC brings new arenas, including Klassic Dead Pool and Soul Chamber, accompanied by stage fatalities.
“Our fans have really enjoyed the story campaign in Mortal Kombat, and we’re happy to continue the narrative and add new characters to the roster with Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath,” said Ed Boon. “In addition, Friendships and Stage Fatalities are being added as part of the free content update for all Mortal Kombat 11 players. Both are fan-favourite features that we’re excited to finally bring back to the franchise.”
