EA has just released the information on their latest patch for Madden 21. The update covers several modes including The Yard, Face of the Franchise, Franchise mode, general gameplay, and several of the bugs that have been plaguing the game through the first week of availability.
This patch is being aimed for September 10, which would be very close to the start of the NFL season.
Here is a look at the complete update from EA’s blog post, which was provided to me prior to going live.
Here is a look at what the team is working on for inclusion in title update #3: Please note that we are still working through testing and going through certification, so we don’t have an exact release date to share with you at this time, but as noted above, we are targeting the update to go live around the start of the NFL season, on September 10.
Of particular interest in this update are the details regarding franchise mode. With this communication, we get a few more specifics around the updates. Per the blog, there will be three post-release updates for franchise mode.
Unfortunately, we have to wait until an indeterminate time just to learn the plans, and then wait for the three “targeted dates.”
At this point, especially when you consider we’re rolling into next-generation territory, the scope of these updates need to be pretty amazing to justify the incremental movement and commitment to improving the mode.
Hopefully that’s the case and we’re not just dragging along for what will ultimately be an underwhelming update.
