In an effort to expand the wearables portfolio, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has introduced two new smartwatches at Europe’s IFA 2020. These are Honor Watch GS Pro and Honor Watch ES. While the GS Pro edition is meant to grab the attention of the adventure seekers, because of its rugged nature, the ES model attracts fitness enthusiasts.
Honor Watch GS Pro is designed as a rugged smartwatch targeting adventure seekers. In fact, the watch has undergone 14 MIL-STD-810G testing to certify its durability. The new GS Pro model features a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 454×454 pixels resolution and stainless steel bezels. Users get polycarbonate fiber finishing for the smartwatch’s body.
The smart wearable is powered by a Kirin A1 System-on-Chip. You get a built-in dual satellite positioning system and GPS support on the watch for location tracking. Honor Watch GS Pro is also equipped with route back function and route deviation alert to help users explore their potential without worries.
With the Watch GS Pro model, users get more than 100 workout modes, including 15 professional and 85 customised modes. The workout data recording includes mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, indoor and outdoor running, and free training. The smartwatch also comes with intuitive health features to monitor users’ wellbeing such as 24-by-7 heart rate monitoring, all-night sleep tracking, and more.
Additionally, users can attend calls via smartwatch using a built-in speaker and a microphone, or can send and receive messages. Honor claims that the Watch GS Pro model can deliver up to 25-day battery life.
Honor Watch GS Pro comes at a price of EUR 249.99, which is Rs 21,500 approximately. The smartwatch will be available in global markets from September 7, 2020.
Honor Watch ES is meant for fitness enthusiasts with features such as fitness tracking and 24-by-7 heart rate monitoring. The fitness wearable features a rectangular 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 456×280 pixels.
The ES smartwatch model packs 95 workout modes, 12 animated workout courses and 44 animated exercise moves. Honor has also offered detachable wrist straps on the Watch ES.
Honor Watch ES comes at a price of EUR 99.99, which is Rs 8,500 approximately. The smartwatch will be available in global markets from September 21, 2020.
