Google’s dinosaur browser game is here with a modified version. The hidden dinosaur runner game which appears for Chrome users when they are offline is getting modified with 26 weapons including swords. The dino game on the Google browser has been quite a saviour for many users helping them through the frustration of lost connectivity. The modified version of the game will be called Dino Swords.

According to The Verge, the granulated, adorable T-rex will get an assortment of weapons in the modified version. The weapons are bound to various keys that players can use, but there’s a catch. Some of the weapons will lead to self-inflicted damage.

A MSCHF spokesperson told Forbes that the original Chrome Dino was just not violent enough. The team at MSCH has claimed that even Google cannot remain untouched by their particular brand of digital subversion. “Anything we can take from a big company (like Google) and mess with we will. The original version just wasn’t violent enough for us. The Dino Game is the final holdover from the golden age of things like Addicting Games and Miniclip games. We’re just making it truer to form.”

Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, 100 Thieves owner and CEO said, “Dino Swords is our take on the classic Chrome dinosaur runner game made extravagant with 26 weapons to help your runs. Many of them pay homage to classic video game weapons, some of them are totally OP, and some are completely useless. There’s even a few easter eggs that are pretty hard to unlock.”

The 100 thieves team is hoping that the users will put the newly introduced arsenal to Dino Swords to good use.

Dino Swords weapons include battle axe, portal gun and respect emoji. Some of these are useful while some rather useless, as per 100 Thieves. These weapons are designed to help the chrome dino to to knock down, burn, chop and sandal-toss birds and cacti.

The game controls are the same as the original as well as the general look and feel. The scoreboard is also the same and the score lands on a global leader board. At the end of the week, the top scorer gets a prize.

As per the statement by Nadeshot, there are some awesome prizes for the people who are able to show they’re the best Dino Swords players in the world. It is, however, not clear what these prizes will be.
