A little over a decade ago, the Crysis franchise, developed by Crytek, was emerging as one of the most impressive in the FPS genre, especially due to the visual quality it was capable of achieving on PC and its open world proposal, stealth and combat. From there, there were 3 deliveries that reached the market, but in the end Crysis did not take off as expected and it was until this year that its return was attempted through an ill-fated remastering of the first game. However, it seems that not everything is said for the franchise.
In recent days there has been a large leak of documents that supposedly belong to Crytek and whose content gives an account of what could be on the way for Crysis. According to various reports, the remastering of the first installment will not stop there because the German company would have plans to do the same with Crysis 2 and Crysis 3, although the poor reception that the first title had in its attempt to come back on current generation consoles and on PC.
On the other hand, the documents refer that next year could see the arrival of a definitive Crysis collection, something that at first glance is strange if the 2 remaining remasters are made, although this could well be supported by an accessible price for the 3 deliveries.
Finally, perhaps the surprise detail of this leak, reveals Crysis Next, a supposed Battle Royale that would arrive in May 2021 and whose description refers to the following: “a free Battle Royale in which hundreds of players collide in a rhythm combat Fast. Visual customization, adaptive powers of the Nanosuit, and visually spectacular combat in an immersive world create the ultimate live streaming experience. The Crysis franchise has all the features to make a battle royale stand out. The gameplay, style, and the environment, as well as high production values. “
So far, there is no official pronouncement by Crytek, so this information should be taken with reserve as there is nothing confirmed.
