If yes, you will probably be tilting that in a few days we will celebrate 75 years of the Allied victory over the Axis powers, especially Nazi Germany, thus marking the end of World War II. On this occasion, World of Tanks is today deploying a temporary event called “Destination Berlin” scheduled until 18 May 10am.
This is a brand new PvE event, pitting squads of five players against enemy units controlled by AI on four maps specially redrawn for the occasion (Kvelburg, Or, Westwall and Berlin). The latter will be available in Random Battles soon. While the first three are available today, that of Berlin will not be until 9 May at 0:01 (22h01 UTC) “At the very moment when the war in Europe ended”. During the event, five units each consisting of three medium combat vehicles will be available (three soviets, an American and a British) :
Each unit has its own unique symbol, Combat boots and three vehicles to unlock as you progress.
During this event, it will not be just a matter of repelling enemy offensives, but to go on the offensive to take strategic positions. Each battle is made up of five successive phases (called battle missions) alternating between offensive and defensive passages. Be careful not to underestimate the enemy because the developers of Wargaming indicate that they have benefited from the returns of the summer event from last year (Home front) to rework AI and make enemy units smarter and more dangerous according to their words.
If you manage to triumph, then you will win many rewards, including a Soviet level VII premium tank. Obviously, this tank and all the bonuses available to help you can be bought with real money.
In case of destruction, don't panic because you have two more chances. It is possible to acquire additional spawns by successfully completing battle missions or if your allies successfully repel enemy counterattacks.
Finally, the developers are already warning that depending on the crowds, players will have to wait in the queue for more or less time.
