EA’s support for the Switch thus far has been disappointing, with the publishing giant largely sitting out of the last-gen port rush and keeping major sports franchises like Madden – a series that saw releases on even the doomed Vita and Wii U systems – off of the system. Three years into the Switch’s life, that tide may finally be turning. We’ve got a snazzy Burnout Paradise port on the way, and EA plans to release a few more games on the system this year. With properties like Star Wars, major developers like Bioware, and a wicked back catalog, there’s a lot to love about the infamous publisher opening up a bit more to the Switch. If you could pick any of EA’s many series to land on the Switch, which would you pick?
For me, I want one of the only two EA series that I actually care about being able to play on the go: Madden or NHL. I like kicking back with sports games and taking my ailing Detroit teams to virtual championships. Sure, Madden and NHL are not long, enthralling adventures like Mass Effect 2 or a Dragon Age game, but they are reliably fun titles every year. Sitting down and ripping through a season never gets old for me, and I’ve been hoping to see my two favorite sports titles on the Switch since its reveal.
