Did you find yourself rocking out to the backing track in the Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition reveal trailer? If so, you may be delighted to know that the song’s now available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Amazon Music.
It’s called Bury the Light, and it’s by Casey Edwards, who masterminded the supremely catchy Devil Trigger in the original release. The track’s almost ten minutes long, but we think it definitely gets the point across as Vergil’s theme.

Robert’s been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he’s not practising combos, he’s usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y’know, replaying The Witcher 3.
Devil Trigger is the most embarrassing bop of all time. That donk break (you know the one) is simultaneously the worst and best sound of all time. This track isn’t bad either, it’s sheer cringe but in a funny way.
Glorious. Nine minutes of pure DMC gloriousness. They killed it with all the character themes this time around. Devil Trigger, Subhuman (I really dig it), Crimson Cloud, and now this. Bangers in a super teenage edgelord kind of way that I can get behind.
It rocked as trailer music but i don’t know about battle theme, a lot about it sounds too generic to my taste. Loved the tracks for Nero, Dante and V though, so gotta see how it feels in gameplay.
I guess it’s still gonna be possible to use DMC3 Vergil-2 theme if this one won’t give me enough motivation.
gonna have to pass on this one. I had it on PS4, and found it super underwhelming. I really liked the original PS2 DMC back in it’s day, DMC4 to an extent, and even the PS4 version of DmC, at least when it came to how dante controlled in turbo mode and it’s upgraded 60fps(other than that the game was weak)….. Yet DMC5 felt too sluggish, the environments weren’t pretty stale, and didn’t like V or the predictable plot. i ended up quitting the gameabout 5-6 hours in and just watched all of the cutscenes and boss battles. it was more enjoyable than playing the game itself that’s for sure. Another annoyance is that you are not required to use the advanced abilities that you earn against stronger enemies, it’s just for flash really.
Bah, i’m over this franchise.
Everytime i played DmCV i felt like i was playing a game designed for teenagers that were desperately trying to break out of their shell. lol Devil Cringe Lord may cry
