The 2,100-foot penthouse was designed and dressed to look like one Christine, Mary, Chrishell et al are selling on Netflix’s hit show about glamorous real estate agents in LA
2020 has been a year defined by our Netflix binges. First, way back at the beginning of lockdown, there was intriguingly wacky documentary series Tiger King. Next came Unorthodox, the moving drama, based on a real story, that followed a Hasidic Jewish woman from Brooklyn who fled from an arranged marriage to find her mother in Berlin. But in August, it was all about the return of Selling Sunset – Netflix’s guilt-free reality TV series following the glamorous lives of a group of real estate agents living it up in Los Angeles.
From Christine Quinn’s Vogue shoot, to Chrishell Stause’s appearance on the US equivalent of Strictly, Dancing with the Stars, it seems that the leading ladies are everywhere right now. So it’s unsurprising that London real estate agents are hoping to replicate the same magic across the pond, with a new listing in Islington reportedly directly inspired by the show and its incredible property porn.
The £4.25 million penthouse is part of Islington Square, a new luxury property development in the leafy North London suburb. It is the 10th property out of 11 to sell there this year, with a buyer immediately placing an offer on the newly-listed home. Dressed by Style & Stage London Ltd, the three-bedroom property features a bespoke Valcucine Artematica kitchen, marble feature walls and freestanding bathtubs. There’s also a modern staircase and roof garden, featuring an infinity pool, not dissimilar to the lush green spaces seen on the Netflix show.
Residents also benefit from concierge services, 24-hour passenger lifts, underground parking and bicycle storage areas, not to mention a Third Space gym Рthe cr̬me de la cr̬me of fitness.
