Here is a list of the exact times to spot Elon Musk’s satellites moving across the sky
Over the last few weeks many of us have been stunned by the sight of Starlink satellites.
Lots of people have stayed up specifically to catch a glimpse of the dazzling lights passing through the sky during the lockdown period.
Comprised of thousands of tiny satellites the formations look like stars moving across the night sky – like a train.
The technology is used across the globe to provide remote locations with low-cast internet and are the latest to be launched by entrepreneur Elon Musk’s company – SpaceX.
But they might well become a relatively common sight in the skies above the UK in the future as SpaceX have been granted 12,000 satellites as part of the project – a number which could eventually increase to 30,000.
According to Findastarlink.com, the formations will be visible on multiple occasions in the UK over the next few days.
Here’s when they say the best times are to catch them over the north-east of England.
11:01 pm Starlink-3 will be visible flying over the UK skies for six minutes travelling west to east.
10:02 pm Starlink-3 will be visible flying over the UK skies for five minutes travelling southwest to east.
10:38 pm Starlink-3 will be visible flying over the UK skies for six minutes travelling west to east.
9:38 pm Starlink-3 will be visible flying over the UK skies for six minutes travelling southwest to east.
