A gorgeous waterfront mansion in Tampa Bay that houses a fully permitted indoor gun range and a 250-bottle wine cellar among other dazzling features sold for a staggering $6.6million last week after initially being listed for more than $11million.
Nestled into a quiet neighborhood in Largo, the sprawling 9,149-square-foot property at 204 Harbor View Lane sold on Thursday to an undisclosed buyer from out of the area.
The aggregate sales price for the luxury home set a record for the Largo area, which has seen a number of record or near-record breaking sales of opulent homes this year, Tampa Bay Business Journal reports.
Luxury agents told Tampa Bay Business Journal that local mansions were being snapped up left and right by out-of-state buyers who have re-evaluated their living situations amid the pandemic.

As many companies continue to operate on a work-from-home system and the threat of coronavirus pushed people away from metropolitan areas, brokers have noted a steady uptick in home sales.
In fact, Florida’s housing market in August reported more closed sales, pending sales, higher median prices and more new home listings than the same time last year.
‘Our homes have become more important than ever over the past few months, as we’ve dealt with stay-at-home orders, working from home, helping children with remote education and more,’ said 2020 Florida Realtors President Barry Grooms, a Realtor and co-owner of Florida Suncoast Real Estate Inc. in Bradenton.

The property initially hit the market in 2017 for more than $11million, but the figure dropped to $7.9million in December before being sold at its final cost. However, it still costs an estimated 3,642 per cent more than other nearby properties.
According to Tampa Bay Business Journal, the five bedroom and seven bathroom home was custom built by the previous owners, Todd and Sheila Siegel, and finished construction in 2016.
The Siegel family reportedly placed their home for sale because Todd’s career in pharmaceuticals required intense and extensive international travel.

Described as the ‘ultimate in entertaining,’ the mansion featured a wine cellar that holds more than 250 bottles at a time, a game room for family, a personal gym, study rooms for moments of peace and an indoor gun range.
Outside, the Florida sanctuary featured an infinity edge saltwater pool with a spa, a smaller lap pool, fire pits and terraces, an outdoor kitchen and cypress ceiling.
Guests are free to dip their toes in the water or walk along the outdoor patios that were installed with Jerusalem Stone lanai.
‘Spend blissful days on the water from a private deep water dock 10,000lb. open and 25,000lb. covered lift,’ the listing added.
The listing agent was Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and Julie Everett, of The Toni Everett Co., represented the home buyer.
