Announced during the Nintendo Direct today, a new Rhythmic Adventure Pack is coming to Taiko No Tatsujin this winter. If you always thought this was just a simple drum-based rhythm game with a cute drum character, you’re not alone. I don’t think anyone really thought this game had the potential to turn into a role-playing game with exploration elements either, but here we are.

The new Rhythmic Adventure Pack allows you to explore a whole world with NPCs to meet, areas to discover, and rhythm battles to get into. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

Taiko No Tatsujin is now available on the Nintendo Switch, and the Adventure Pack is set to be released sometime during this winter season.
