SpaceX has passed key tests of its Starship vehicle being developed and tested outside of Brownsville.
The Starship SN4 prototype survived two pressurization tests in late April. These tests, where the vehicle’s tanks are filled with liquid nitrogen, had destroyed previous Starship prototypes. Then on Tuesday, Starship SN4 passed a test where the engine was fired.

The static fire test was captured by South Padre Island resident Louis Balderas, who runs cameras near the SpaceX facilities in Boca Chica and shares the footage through the LabPadre YouTube channel.
Coming up, Starship is expected to do a small test flight, a hop where the vehicle lifts up slightly and then back down without entering space.
