Koei Tecmo recently revealed that Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV is headed to Switch, to be released simultaneously with the upcoming Diplomancy & Strategy Expansion Pack. It marks the game’s first appearance on Switch.
PR from Koei Tecmo mostly focused on details behind the expansion to Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV, which is set to release in Japan on December 10 and worldwide sometime in early 2021. The Diplomancy & Strategy Expansion Pack introduces trade with Eurasian empires such as Rome and India, intense border clashes with foreign cities, and special perks for conquering specific provinces, adding an additional layer to strategy in your quest to unify China. Additionally, the expansion comes with a new campaign, new officer traits and tactics, a calendar, and new buildings.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV initially released in January of this year on PS4 and PC. The title celebrated the 35th anniversary of the series by sending players on a quest to unify China during the fall of the Han Dynasty. The initial release saw mixed reviews, sitting at a 69 on Metacritic, but the Diplomancy & Strategy Expansion Pack may be able to reverse its fortunes and start the game off with a bang on Switch sometime next year.
