For at least two Tuesdays in October, Pokémon GO is featuring Ash hat Pikachu during Spotlight Hour.
It seems that Pokémon as a brand is really going all-in on the Ash cap Pikachu, as the variant is coming to Pokémon GO this month. For at least two Tuesdays in October, Pokémon GO is featuring Ash hat Pikachu during Spotlight Hour.
As always, Spotlight Hour will run from 6pm-7pm local time. During that time, a lot of one specific Pokémon will spawn in the wild. On October 6, Pikachu wearing Ash Ketchum’s hat from the newest series, Pokémon Journeys, will spawn for the first time in Pokémon GO. There will also be double XP for catching Pokémon during that hour.
October 13 will take place at the same time, but offer Pikachu with Ash’s original hat. This is a reappearance, but it will also have a double candy bonus for catching Pokémon. It might be a good time to do Legendary raids.
The announcement doesn’t say what the last two Spotlight Hours in October will bring. It’s easy to imagine that it will be something spooky – probably a Ghost-type Pokémon.
Meanwhile, Ash hat Pikachu is also featuring in the lead-up to Pokémon Sword & Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC, due out on October 22. You can get a Pikachu with a different cap every week – here’s our guide for the first three.
