OPPO is a company that started out making devices including smartphones. However, it has since expanded into other, related areas such as smartwatches and TWS earbuds. However, according to Digital Chat Station, yet more personal consumer devices are also on its agenda.
This prominent tipster now asserts that OPPO will soon set out to make its own name in tablets and laptops, as Xiaomi and Huawei has done before it. The former has done particularly well with products such as the Mi Notebook and RedmiBook lines, whereas the latter has persisted with MatePads in an Android tablet space that often seems to have been otherwise abandoned by all except Samsung as of late.
Therefore, it is likely that OPPO might emulate these OEMs with products such as MacBook and iPad alternatives. It is possible that they are also intended to complete a total wireless ecosystem, which is also intended to include its own internet-of-things (IoT) devices – not to mention its new TVs – connected through its own routers, as outlined in the OEM’s most recent developer’s conferences. According to the latest leak, these plans may start to be realized as early as 2021.
