NASA tracks giant asteroid that has the potential to be taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, in France
Space Administration's Near-Earth Object Center has an eye on the asteroid 65717 (BX3) and is listed in its Close Approach table.
The asteroid 65717 was first spotted in 1992 and will pass Earth again on Saturday 17 January at 8:00 a.m..49 p.m. EST, the equivalent of 13 h 49, Greenwich Mean Time
It is planned to fly safely over the Earth at a speed of 359 kilometers per second or 8030 miles per hour
The space rock 65717 is so large that it is estimated to be between 180 and 410 m, which means it will probably be taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris
The Eiffel Tower is located 324 m from its mast and is the largest structure in the French capital, as other buildings are limited to a government height restriction of 37 m.
