In what some may consider an ironic twist, Genshin Impact miHoYo developers gave their employees tons of graphics cards, consoles and Apple products… using a gacha system
Analyst Daniel Ahmad shared images of insane tech treasure on Twitter, which included stacks of PlayStation consoles 5, RTX graphics cards, d’iPhone 12 and Nintendo Switch consoles A whole different plethora of Apple and tech products were also in the mix.
MiHoYo, Genshin Impact developers, held their annual employee meeting where they gave away a bunch of electronics to employees in a lottery. Basically a thank you for the successful year of the business Includes PS5s, switches, Apple products, RTX GPUs and more photos / se5izjEXDkFebruary 2 2021
But how do you decide who gets which product? well, in real miHoYo fashion, they decided to handle the staff gift like a gacha – transparent sink rates and all Ahmad shared sink rates for each item, Apple products such as MacBooks and Apple Watches occupying the rarest spot on the list with a chance of 1%. This is even higher than your chances of getting a character or weapon 5 stars in Genshin Impact, notice
The most common drops were items like AirPods and an AOC monitor, with 30% chances of catching a variety of smaller tech objects According to Ahmad, there were enough prizes for each employee, just that “you might not get the ps5″Ahmad also clarified that the raffle was only used for this giveaway.,” not for any other financial compensation / bonus they earn”
Repeat this tweet because it was taken incorrectly MiHoYo gave these articles to all employees, but due to limited stock, they used a lottery system / gacha lolNote This system is just for those unique gifts, not for any other financial compensation / bonus they earn picTwittercom / RAkcX4b0YeFebruary 2 2021
Now, do not mistake yourself, giving a bunch of expensive tech to show your employees gratitude is really amazing But there is something to be said for one of the most popular gacha developers in the world, drawing lots for its prizes in the same way as Genshin Impact's Wish system. Every price is damn good, and I certainly wouldn't complain about a free monitor from 34 inches (cough cough, I love my PC Gamer editors so much!)
