Des images du jeu inédit ont parfois été publiées sur YouTube au cours des 10 last years, seducing fans who were desperate to see him come out.
Based on the James Bond movie of the same name, GoldenEye 007 was a bestseller on the Nintendo console 64
However, according to modern standards, the console has very low resolution graphics and fans have long hoped for a high definition remake
Rare was purchased by Microsoft in 2002 and has released updated versions of several of its games to the Xbox Live Arcade service
He also developed a remaster of GoldenEye 007, which kept the full single player campaign and the popular multiplayer mode
The updated game was running at 60 frames per second and gamers could switch between updated graphics and original N64 graphics with just the push of a button.
But the boss of the Xbox, Phil Spencer, previously tweeted that the rights involved in its release were too much “difficult”
The developers previously suggested that Eon, owner of the James Bond film franchise, was not satisfied with the way the character was portrayed in the original game.
Composer Grant Kirkhope told the Video Games Chronicle news site.: “The main reason this did not happen was that there were too many Microsoft stakeholders, Nintendo and Eon could never agree on the terms, and that's before you even started considering getting all of the cast in the original movie to agree to have their likenesses reused.”
To complicate matters, in 2007, the James Bond game creation license was held by another studio, Activision
He released a completely different version of GoldenEye 007 in 2010, with history changed to the present day
In the game, GoldenEye star Pierce Brosnan has been replaced by new James Bond, Daniel Craig
