The second half of the year has now started, the opportunity for publishers to offer their annual iteration of their sports simulation. Among them, we of course find a certain Madden NFL 21, an american football game released on 28 last august. Unfortunately, the latter does not seem to be unanimous among the players.

Despite recent positions taken by Metacritic to face the review-bombing (a method intended to lower the overall rating of a game), Madden NFL 21 has suffered for a few days the anger of the players by receiving user reviews never or almost never exceeding the rating of 0 sure 10. A slew of bad reviews that drove the Electronic Arts title to a User Score of 0,5/10, either the worst score in the history of the site.

This new review-bombing aims to drastically change the way Electronic Arts has treated the sports saga for a few years now.. According to the gaming community, because of a lack of competition, the American publisher would be more and more lazy and would offer little new from year to year, worst, the edition 2021 sports simulation would have been delivered with a particularly large number of bugs. To remedy this and be heard, the players, according to a Sporting News report, even created the hashtag #NFLDropEA, a hashtag that claims that the NFL license can be exploited by other developers. Unfortunately for the community, Electronic Arts and the NFL recently extended their partnership to 2025.

However, the anger of the players seems to have been heard by the American firm which quickly promised to deploy in the days and weeks to come a series of updates which would fix the bugs and which would also improve the various functionalities of the title.

As a reminder, Madden NFL 21 is already available on PC, PlayStation 4 et Xbox One. The title will also be released at the end of the year on PlayStation. 5 et Xbox Series X.

The last game I bought of US football was Madden 2000 sur gameboy color.
Since then I have been waiting for them to make the effort to translate Fr.

no wonder when there is a change of gen
the games that come out annually that are already little upgradeable become even less so, developers focusing on new gen development

people are just pigeons to have bought it
I think there will be no significant evolution before the edition 2023

And it's not that Madden, same for all new FIFA episodes, NHL, UFC etc which are all equally mediocre from each other.

People criticize 2K (who with NBA 2K completely razed the earth NBA Live) but at least their offline games are finished products, so they haven't even improved my league mode (a kind of career mode) for years as it is already ultra complete.

Behind the big marketing statements, the real face of EA (but not only him) is that he dabbles royally on the client as long as he is docile and spits in the bassinet.

I haven't forgotten the statement following the shit storm that befell the sims 4 who was a big turd when it was released due to a nasty gameplay regression (more open world, loads by the dozen, even to go to the sidewalk in front) and the most starving content to better sell dlcs at gold prices, statement I was saying which to sum up was to say that if people didn't buy the sims 4 then there would be no sims 5.

The business relationship on the middle finger, cynicism and greed are what characterizes, in my eyes, the best this editor, real predator and cancer of video games.

As long as people are complaining on the EA forums, steam etc… instead of complaining to the NFL they will continue to sign contracts with this company. If it is to ban exclusivity of licenses for sports games its seriously drags the quality down without competition.

I spent 5 min on Madden's reddit to get an idea, just to know if it was worth it.
As the saying goes “the question was quickly answered”.

People complain about bugs, lack of content, but also the increasingly bad and limited career mode.

Many are waiting to see 2K compete with EA on US Football as they did on basketball.

Despite recent positions taken by Metacritic to face the review-bombing (…)
Madden NFL 21 has been under the anger of players for a few days by receiving user reviews (negative)

Yes, so, it's not review-bombing, it is justified (no evolution, numerous, bugs, etc), it's not like they took the game down cause they don't like it

The time that I went to see the note was spent 0,3 sure 10 ð ???? that scares me for fifa 21 even if I don't expect much

Bah stop buying the game.
Why EA would break the C * L to make improvements when we see that it already does this with Fifa and that it is sold by entire pallet…
