Epic Games aurait supprimé le matchmaking basé sur les compétences (SBMM) du mode Sections, after months of fans begging the devs to change this controversial chapter feature 2.
SBMM has been one of Fortnite's contentious features since its introduction at the start of the chapter. 2. Epic implemented the game-changing search with good intentions, but since, he faces reactions from fans.
The developers of the battle royale, however, have refined their flagship title in chapter 2, and it looks like SBMM is the latest feature to be honored. According to leaks and professional players, it would have been deleted in a classic mode.
At least, the much-maligned matchmaking feature seems to have been disabled from the battle royale's four-player squad mode. There was however no word on Solos or Duos, letting many suspect that this is a single-mode change.
The youtubeur Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan also revealed in a video from the 5 May that he had confirmed with his Epic contact “skill-based matchmaking has been removed”. Le plan d’Epic, he said, was to make the game modes “more casual” and “less tryhard”.
Epic has yet to officially comment on this alleged change.. This is no small surprise — Fortnite developers often make unexpected changes to the game map, as well as weapons and equipment. They became famous for their silence.
Epic isn't the only Battle Royale developer team to be criticized for choosing to implement an SBMM feature recently. : Infinity Ward and Respawn both received criticism from Warzone and Apex Legends fans respectively.
Fortnite, however, appears to be the only battle royale to actually trigger the deletion of the contentious feature.. The only question is : considering that Epic does not yet have a patch note, will it be permanent? Unfortunately, Only time will tell.
