The latest update for iPhone and iPad brings more 100 new emojis, new wallpapers and improved AirPlay system.
Soon there will be as many emojis on your phone as there are stars in our universe. Apple just added more than 100 new figures in its iOS update 14.2 (and iPadOS 14.2) which also brings new features. Among the new smileys, a ninja, a coin, a transgender flag, or even a piñata. Also in the list is an emoji that has been the subject of many popular memes., that of the "pinched hand", often described as a specifically Italian gesture supposed to represent frustration. Cliché or homage to a culture, You decide. The complete list of new emojis is available on the Emojipedia website.
Emojis are only the tip of the iceberg, however.. iOS 14.2 offers eight new wallpapers, a redesigned menu for Airplay, the famous Shazam button directly in the control center (which allows you to identify a song even with your headphones while using an application such as YouTube for example), and the traditional correction of more or less serious bugs. Finally, this new update allows Apple to equip the HomePod (whose mini version will be released soon) a new Intercom feature that connects a HomePod speaker to an Apple TV 4K for stereo, surround and Dolby Atmos. Apple has also taken the care to update its connected watch with watchOS 7.1, which also adds support for HomePod's Intercom function, as well as audio warnings on headphones and support for the ECG application (electrocardiogram) in Korea and Russia.
