The West Coast rap force came to prominence as a member of N.W.A., before embarking on a lengthy solo career.
Matching music to acting, Ice Cube now has another role on his CV – a bona fide Scottish Lord.
Speaking to fans on social media, he announces that someone has bought him “piece of land in Scotland”.
Declaring himself to be a “real lord” the rapper then held up a document to signify his new title.
The document comes from Established Titles, and the associated plot of land is in a wooded area by Huntly, close to the A97 road.
Oddly, the area already has a musical connection – Bob Dylan (and his brother) bought Aultmore House near Nethybridge, not too far from the Scottish town.
Should Ice Cube ever visit, he’ll find a lovely Scottish town with a deep sense of history – highlights would include a visit to Huntly F.C. and perhaps some shortbread from Deans.
