Last week’s episodes left off with Brody (Adam Woodward) luring Cormac (James Gaddas) into a confrontation with Felix (Richard Blackwood) at the garage.
This showdown turned violent when Warren (Jamie Lomas) flew into a rage, attacking Cormac when the abuser mocked the suffering that Felix and Brody had endured as children.
Monday’s (October 12) first-look episode answered the question of Cormac’s fate right away, as Brody looked stunned at Warren’s vicious beating.
However, Cormac’s hand was still twitching, with Felix pointing out that he was actually still alive as he hit out at Warren for “going that far”.
Warren wanted to kill Cormac and dump the body, but Felix and Brody convinced him that they should dump the body near the hospital and “do a runner”.
After they’d abandoned Cormac on the side of the road, Brody struggled to come to terms with what the trio had done — especially as Warren put the blame squarely on him.
“All this was your idea,” Warren spitefully claimed. “I never threw the first punch. You started it!”
A panicked Brody was intent on doing “the right thing” by going to the police before everything spiralled, insisting he wasn’t “a psychopath” with a body count like Warren.
When Felix called with news from the hospital that Cormac was in a coma, Warren only laughed while telling the others that they were “off the hook”.
Felix later went round to Grace’s and confided in her about the abuse he suffered at Cormac’s hands as a child, as well as the bullying he inflicted on Warren.
Meanwhile, Brody approached PC Kiss outside the police station to confess that he was “in a mess” with Warren, but Sienna called to chastise him for ignoring her while their baby was struggling.
As he hung up the call, PC Kiss asked: “Are you ready to tell me what’s on your mind?”
