This year, Prime Day is happening on October 13 and 14, which means that during those 48 hours, deals will constantly be dropping. As a result, if you’re not prepared, you may accidentally end up buying something, thinking it’s a good deal when in reality it’s not. But don’t worry, “The Camelizer” can help you avoid bad deals.
The Camelizer is an extension available for all major browsers (including Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and Firefox) that bring up the historical pricing data for products available in Amazon without having to leave the tab. Using this information will help understand whether you’re getting a good deal or if the price was recently increased and then reduced to make it look like you’re getting a bargain.
The data available through the extension comes from CamelCamelCamel, a free service that has been around for a long time, and it’s entirely dedicated to tracking the price history for Amazon products.
In this Windows 10 guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to use The Camelizer extension to track the price history data for Amazon products to avoid bad deals during Prime Day 2020.

The CamelCamelCamel “The Camelizer” extension is available for all major browsers supported on Windows 10, and you can install it using the steps below.
Once you complete the steps, you can start using the extension to view Amazon products’ price history during the Prime Day sales event.
We’re focusing these instructions on the three most popular browsers, but you can also use The Camelizer extension with Opera and Safari.
The extension is divided into different sections, which you can navigate using the options in the left rail. The most important part is the Price history tab, which shows you all the historical data for a particular product from Amazon and third-party sellers.
The blue graph shows the price history from third-party sellers, and the red graph highlights the pricing for used products from third-party sellers.
If you’re shopping on Prime Day, you want to focus on Amazon’s price history (the green graph). You can click the blue and red options at the bottom of the page to disable this data in the graph.
Also, under the main graph, you have the History section, which allows you to change the product’s date range to “1 Month,” “3 Months,” “6 Month,” “1 Year,” and “All Time.”
You can install the extension and start using the CamelCamelCamel service to immediately check historical data for a particular Amazon product. However, If you want to track products and get alerts, you need to sign up with the service.
Once you complete the steps, you can start saving products in the service to track their price history on Amazon.
Under the “Price type” section, use the lowest and highest price information to determine the desired price for the product sold and fulfilled by Amazon.
After you complete the steps, the CamelCamelCamel service will keep tabs on the price, and when it reaches your desired price range, you’ll receive an alert to get the product.
Once you saved your items, you can view them all at the CamelCamelCamel website, where you can see the current and desired prices.
If you want to see additional information, you can click the item to review the price history, change the desired price, or delete the item from the list.
If you want to update your account information and other settings, you can do this from the CamelCamelCamel website.
Although we’re outlining the steps on Windows 10, you can also use the extension on available web browsers for macOS and Linux to shop smarter this year’s Amazon Prime Day event.
Finally, at the time of this writing, CamelCamelCamel released an update for the extension, but the update is currently only available for Chrome and Firefox. As a result, if you use Microsoft Edge, you may be stuck with the old interface for a little longer. However, since the old and new versions are similar, you can still refer to these steps to use it.
