The initiative will be led by David Corless of nDreams, vice president of publication and Steve Tagger, business development director They will look for projects that harness the potential of virtual reality, offering immersive gameplay that cannot be found on any other medium
Studios selected for funding will not only receive development money, they will also benefit from full editing support as well as VR expertise from nDreams. This ranges from market knowledge, data information, from game sales and marketing experience to quality assurance, the localisation, technical consultation / design and more.
“We know how difficult it can be to successfully market a virtual reality game”, Corless said in a statement. «We want to share our knowledge with other studios to help them create the best game possible and give these titles every chance of becoming a huge hit., whether through development funding or solely through publication support.”
The team has a strong background in VR and the video game industry in general Gaining experience working for AAA publishers such as Ubisoft, Capcom, Sega and WB Games, the nDreams publishing team also has more than 20 years of combined knowledge in VR
The most recent track from nDreams Phantom: Covert Ops was a big hit when it launched last summer for Oculus Quest and Rift It managed to achieve 1 million dollars in gross revenue in the first month and when Facebook announced all of those headlines exceeding the million dollar threshold, nDreams tweeted that Oculus Quest revenue for Phantom: Covert Ops alone had exceeded 1 million de dollars.
