It's obvious from this list that the shotgun is just not a weapon that Epic really wants in the game anymore. It just makes sense, especially since many players depend so much on it and many fights revolve around it. It gets a little boring, to be honest

It also appears that Epic has improved the Tactical Shotgun, which is very logical considering its weakness and reliability. In the season 5, Tac will now do more damage on all staves, apparently making it closer to the combat rifle.

As for what remains, no one should really be surprised that Fire Traps or Scoped RA were vaulted Neither was a favorite and the fire traps in particular just weren't very useful at all It will be interesting to see if that means OG traps might come back to some extent

Finally, the return of the Charge shotgun and double barreled shotgun could mean we're all sick of seeing shotguns after a while and don't even want the pump to come back. And oh, the Dragon shotgun
