Thor is an Asgardian, and as such heâs got to get up on top of mountains: it is simply how it goes. This is his little story, as told through the Thorâs awakening challenges: he finds himself on an island with little memory of whatâs happening, he manages to track down his hammer in a crater, he gets some sort of inspiration from some nearby Bifrost Runes, and then he journeys to a mountaintop to reclaim his mantle as the mighty God of Thunder. Neat! If youâre this far, youâve already done most of it, but you may be wondering which mountaintop, exactly, holds the ruins youâre looking for. Wonder no longer.
There are a bunch of mountains in the lower part of the map, and youâre not even headed to the biggest one, oddly enough. Hereâs where you want to drop:
Youâll know you found the right place when you see the three little obelisks there at the top: I believe we might call them Bauta stones? Thatâs what Wikipedia suggests, at least. Regardless, equip the Thor skin and the hammer and head on to the top of the mountain. If you go to emote, there should only be one available: go ahead and do that emote to have Thor raise his hammer to the sky and summon some mystical lighting, transforming him into a more Godly version of the God of Thunder, all blue and sparkly. You are just as vulnerable to bullets as ever, however, so grab a gun on your way down.
Iâm curious to see how these Awakening challenges fit into the season overall. Theyâre not quite like the other skin-based challenges in Season 2, because theyâre not time-gated. They just unlock as you grab the challenge packs in the battle pass, which means that theoretically the means to complete all of them should be on the map already. I may go ahead and buy some more tiers just to see whatâs what.
