Donald Trump has told a crowd of supporters that he sometimes dreams about driving away in a truck and getting ‘the hell out of here.’

The President of the United States was at a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania on Monday, when he noticed a line of vehicles near where he was speaking.

‘Nice trucks,’ he said. ‘You think I could hop into one of them and drive it away? I’d love to do it. Just drive the hell out of here. Just get the hell out of this.’

Trump then started to reminisce on his life before becoming president and seemed to look back with fond memories.

The former property developer and reality TV star went on to tell the crowd he is ‘happy’ with becoming president ‘because nobody has ever done so much in the first three-and-a half years.’

Trump enjoyed a strong economy prior to Covid, although the US is now battling historic levels of unemployment. Third quarter economic results – which Trump hopes will show an economic rebound – are due to be released on November 1, two days before the election.

In the same speech, he went on to praise foreign authoritian leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping and said that ‘they don’t want to deal with Sleepy Joe.’

‘One of them said to me, “I hope you win because we don’t want to deal with someone who sleeps all the time,”‘ Trump said.

Meanwhile, new polls show that Biden has stretched his lead over Trump in Pennsylvania, as well other crucial swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin.

Pennsylvania is the closest fought state, according to the surveys, leading to Trump holding frequent rallies there these past couple of weeks.

Trump has continuously called the polls ‘fake news,’ and believes that the Democrats are ‘rigging’ the election, without offering evidence to back up his claims.

He continues to downplay coronavirus, saying that the country is ’rounding the turn,’ while America has 8.7 million cases and 225,000 dead.
