The Division 2 Title Update 11.1 has just gone live as version 1.28 on PS4, and the quality-of-life patch seems squarely targeted at improving the Summit experience and its associated loot. If you’ve had trouble making the climb to floor 99, you might like what you see in the patch notes listed below. The news arrives courtesy of an official Ubisoft forum post.
Developer comment: With the TU11.1 changes to The Summit, we are addressing topics brought up by the community including difficulty, directives and targeted loot. We want to fulfill the player fantasy of climbing from floor 1 to 100 with customized challenge and rewards.
When interacting with the lobby elevator, players will be able to select their desired difficulty and directives

The higher players climb in The Summit, the more likely they are to encounter tougher enemies.
Broadly speaking, the main intent of Division 2 Title Update 11.1 is to make the Summit experience easier and more customizable for players of all skill levels. Solos or groups can now set their difficulty level and chosen Directives right from the start. In other words, those who may have had trouble getting past floor 80 on Legendary can now set it to Normal to have a fighting chance at finishing a complete run. The more Directives one adds to make the experience more challenging, the better chance there is at collecting valuable loot on each floor. While we do have some reservations about having to start all the way back at the first floor once a run is finished, the rest of the system sounds much better than the Summit experience that existed before. If all goes well, many more Agents should be able to secure that Ridgeway’s Pride Exotic Chest Piece too.
Elsewhere in update 1.28 the rest of the tweaks are fairly minor. For those still grinding away at PvP, the time-to-kill adjustment certainly sounds interesting. Deaths may happen a bit faster than you’d otherwise expect, but the meta has shifted slightly given a substantial adjustment to the stats of all Shotguns. For most Agents, however, the real highlight of Title Update 11.1 is a Summit activity that’s actually feasible for casual players to finish. If this is your first time giving Summit a shot, we hope you enjoy your ascent.
