There are kids XC bikes, full-suspension bikes, hardtails, eBikes and now, thanks to Commencal, dirt jump bikes aimed at young riders wanting to enter Crankworx.
If your young rider is more interested in having their wheels off the ground longer than on and the only tabletop they care about is the flattest they can bust off a lip, then the Commencal Absolut 24 was designed for them.
As the name suggests, the Absolut 24 is a dirt jump specific alloy bike with 24in wheels loosely based on the full-sized Absolut. As we’ve come to expect from a high-end kids bike, Commencal builds the 24 up with child-specific components like narrower bars and grips, and shorter 140mm cranks.
You can check it out in action in the video below, and check out the full specs over at the Commencal website where the bike can be bought for €999.
The ABSOLUT has given generations of riders the opportunity to perfect their riding style. We wanted to offer this chance to people from an earlier age. So now the ABSOLUT has a little brother, the ABSOLUT 24!
On the pumptracks that are built all around us whether in a bumpy field or at the skate park, the ABSOLUT 24 is the ideal bike to enjoy practising and perfecting your skills onboard, until it gets dark.
Like our range of META HT KIDS and CLASH KIDS, this ABSOLUT KIDS version has child-specific components and is aimed at kids measuring between 135cm and 155cm. It features adapted 140mm cranks, 650mm bars for easy handling, grips with a smaller diameter for little hands, as well as the excellent Manitou Circus Expert 24 ‘’ fork.
All I want to know is if I am getting this bike or not! I got the 2019 AM and looking for a new bike, I am waiting for your review to decide, for real! Thanks for the reply..
