After recent legal action from Activision, a popular Call of Duty cheat seller was forced to remove their website and vanish from the CoD community. The website known as CxCheats will no longer be selling Call of Duty cheats, and it’s likely the first of several to be taken out by Activision. While gamers can no longer purchase Call of Duty cheats through CxCheats, apparently they’re still able to sell cheats for games such as PUBG and Apex Legends. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
“You also should be aware that using third-party tools in Call Of Duty may result in the suspension or banning of your account by Activision Publishing, Inc or the games developers,” continued the CxCheats Discord post. “We apologize for any pain we’ve caused to players of Call Of Duty.” While we know there are still plenty of cheaters out there, hopefully, this will reduce the amount of cheating in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It certainly shouldn’t come as a shocker to people that Activision will suspend or ban people who cheat, as do most developers who catch people cheating in their game.
