Finish him! RoboCop appears in the new “Mortal Kombat” video game, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Wednesday. An expansion of “Mortal Kombat 11″ called “Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath” will be released May 26 with a new story campaign and playable characters, including Detroit’s finest cybernetic police officer. Syracuse University alumnus Peter Weller, who starred in the original “RoboCop” film and the 1990 sequel “RoboCop 2,” lends both his likeness and voice to the new game, which also reportedly features classic characters (including Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade) and special guests like Terminator, Spawn and the Joker. Note: Game contains violence and strong language not suitable for younger audiences.

Weller, whose credits also include “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “24,” “Naked Lunch,” “Sons of Anarchy” and “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension,” graduated from Syracuse University in 2004 with a master’s degree in Renaissance Art History and taught a course at SU’s school of Visual and Performing Arts on Hollywood and the Roman Empire while continuing his acting career. The 72-year-old actor has also revisited his “RoboCop” character Alex Murphy several times, including in a KFC commercial last year.
